The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that an employee working in consulate in the city of Erbil, Iraq was shot in the city on Wednesday. At least three Turkish diplomats were killed in the attack on Wednesday (July 17) when gunmen opened fire on a restaurant where diplomats were eating, security officials in the Kurdish region told Reuters.
For its part, confirmed the agency "Anatolia" Turkish government killed "employee of the Turkish Consulate General in Erbil" armed attack on a restaurant in the northern city border with Turkey.

The local Kurdish "Rudaw" network reported that at least three people, including the Turkish deputy consul, were shot dead. It also reported that a number of wounded had been wounded.
The network pointed out that the fire targeted a number of diplomats working in the Turkish Consulate during their presence in the place. Security forces rushed to the scene and closed the roads nearby.
