A recent poll found that more than a fifth of Germans have at least once betrayed their life partners. The survey, conducted by the Mavo Dotte Institute commissioned by Playboy magazine, found that 22.5 percent of women surveyed said they had betrayed their life partners at least once, while 21.7 percent of men had confessed.

The survey, published Monday (July 8, 2019), showed a disparity in motives for treason. While women often betray their carelessness about their partners (45.8 percent), men justified their betrayal of a temporary need for sexual adventure (38.8) Percent).

At the same time, the poll, which included 1,069 people, showed that 79.6 percent of women believed in life-long love, while men accounted for 76.1 percent.
