Police in the western German town of Voerdeh thanked an Iraqi for his "heroic" behavior while he was on a train platform at the town station, at the time of a crime. "A man who deliberately pushed a 34-year-old woman into a train when she died was killed," the German website Fox reported on Saturday (July 20, 2019).

The same source said that an Iraqi with his family at that moment, saw the incident and jumped directly to the man and held him until the police came to the scene and arrest the suspect. It quoted the police as saying that the 31-year-old Iraqi had thus prevented the worst and acted bravely.
A police source said the suspect was motivated by "slander" and "a desire to kill." He said the 28-year-old had a previous criminal record.
