The United States won the women's World Cup for the second time in a row, the fourth in their history, after beating the Dutch team, European champions, 2-0, on Sunday (July 7, 2019) in the final of the championship.

The United States took the lead in the 61st minute from Megan Rabinovi and Rose Lavili added the second goal in the 68th minute.

This was the fifth time that the US team participated in the final of the tournament where he had already reached the final four times, he was able to harvest the title on three occasions in 1991, 1999 and 2015.

The Dutch national team, crowned European champions in 2017, has never won the World Cup.

The United States advanced to the final after Group F with nine points, Spain beat 2-1 in the last 16, France 2-1 in the quarter-finals and England 2-1 in the semi-finals.

While the Dutch advanced to this role after the Group V with nine points and then beat the Japanese team in the knockout stage 2/1, Italy beat 2-0 in the quarter-finals and Sweden beat 1-0 in the semi-finals.
